Many changes happening in the office lately. Many... a lot of trauman and evaluation of roles and responsibilities have taken place. I like where we are, but that was difficult to sort through. Updating my resume' and putting it out there. We will see what happens. I am okay with where things are now... but I don't feel confident that I would like to stay where I am all year. I like the changes of this week, but feel insecure about where things are going. Our president and CFO just resigned in the same week. Ummmm. Yeah. I have started taking my clothes with me in the morning, showering and walking straight from the boathouse to work. I got in an hour and a half early today.... totally kicked butt. It makes for a long day.. but it is nice to get a lot done here. Glad it is Friday. My sister is coming down for dinner tonight which is nice. I am glad that she is able to get away a bit. And, I am thankful that she is coming to me. Rowing is going well. A couple extra rowing sessions this week has propelled us newbies into a new level of steadiness on the water. For that I am also thankful. We have a busy weekend. I wish we didn't. I would really like some down time.

Lord, please make it the weekend! 3 days until the All-Star Race! 2 weeks until I close (fingers crossed). 3 weeks until the June SAT. 4 weeks until I go to Boston. 7 weeks until Kara/LA/Disneyland/Seattle (maybe). I'm crazy. Six months ago right now, I was on a plane over the Atlantic... that hardly seems possible, yet it seems so far away in so many other ways. I can't wait to go to South America.

So the primaries are over and both candidates were amazing and barrier breaking. Let's keep the momentum going and get Obama into office this November. So we've all spent the past 8 years in a hole reaching for something to help pull ourselves out of it. Well, this may just be the rope, or better yet ladder, that we've been looking for. Let's have a modern day FDR, let's have modern Fireside Chats, get the public involved. I want to find opportunities to volunteer, which should be easy because of my dad.

 I've looked over his position on issues, I've read through his speeches, I've taken into consideration what he's done while in the United States senate and I am very convinced that he could make some very necessary changes. Maybe I'm a little too hopeful, but I can't not be. This country is a mess and I hate to leave it that way. I refuse to be cynical and tell myself and everyone I can't help make a change. If everyone thought that then no, nothing would change. It takes time and I understand that many people don't have that (trust me). Something like this though is so critical.

 The US has reached its boiling point. The US has boiled OVER. Someone needs to come clean it up because you really shouldn't let water just sit there.''
